Our resident composer, Malinda Zenor, has also written a new selection which will be given its premier performance during this show. Dick Weber will be our announcer. He will narrate a very fervent composition by James Curnow titled "Heritage of Freedom", written to honor the four presidents who appear upon the mountainside at Mt. Rushmore National Monument. The second part will deal with love affairs and the problems associated with "LOVE." North Port's wonderful vocalist, Kim Campos, will be our guest soloist. She will sing selections by Jerome Kern, and George and Ira Gershwin. Other composers of note are Leroy Anderson, Richard Rodgers, Stephen Sondheim, and P.I. Tchaikowsky. Along with this show, the concert band will also be performing on March 20, and April 17 during the coming season.
